Homemade Classic Cannoli Recipe

Welcome to my Homemade Classic Cannoli Recipe! I'm a professional chef and I'm excited to share with you my classic Italian dessert. Cannoli are a delicious treat that you can make in your own kitchen. This recipe is easy to follow and produces a delicious and authentic cannoli that you and your family will love. Let's get started! ##Ingredients h2 - 2 cups all-purpose flour - 1 tablespoon sugar - 1/2 teaspoon salt - 4 tablespoons cold butter, cut into small pieces - 1/2 cup white wine - 2 large eggs - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract - 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon - 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg - 1/2 cup vegetable oil - 1 cup ricotta cheese - 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar - 1/2 cup finely chopped semisweet chocolate - 2 tablespoons finely chopped candied orange peel ##Instructions h2 1. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, sugar and salt. Add the butter and using a pastry cutter or two knives, cut the butter into the flour until the mixture is crumbly. 2. Add the wine and mix together until the dough comes together. Knead the dough until it is smooth, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. 3. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. 4. Divide the dough into 8 pieces and roll each piece into a thin round about 8 inches (20 cm) in diameter. Place the rounds on the prepared baking sheet. 5. In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg. Brush the rounds with the egg mixture. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. 6. Heat the oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot to 375°F (190°C). Carefully drop the rounds into the hot oil and fry for 2 to 3 minutes or until golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and transfer to a paper towel lined plate to drain. 7. In a medium bowl, whisk together the ricotta cheese, confectioners' sugar, chocolate and orange peel. 8. When the cannoli shells have cooled, spoon the ricotta mixture into each shell. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve. Enjoy!
